The turn in labour market trends - HR Navigator 30th Anniversary Episode

In July, we hosted the 30th-anniversary episode of our HR Navigator video podcast, dedicated to the topic of "Turning the Tide of Labor Market Trends." In this special episode, we explored how global events and technological innovations are shaping new demands and opportunities for employers and talent.

Highlights from the in-studio discussion, which featured Kristina Todorova, Vasil Vassilev, and Kristina Ivanova include:

  • The latest trends in the search for talent.
  • Technology reshaping work processes.
  • Adapting to new market conditions.

In addition, we reviewed the results of our regular survey with Assert International Bulgaria - SATR H2/2024 - "Salaries, Fringe Benefits, and Incentives - Trends", the results of which provide valuable insights into current and upcoming changes in compensation packages and incentives offered by employers. Key findings from the latest edition stood out as:

  • Nearly 75% of companies surveyed increased their employees' salaries in the first half of 2024.
  • The main reasons for these changes are inflation, the drive to retain key employees, and the need to align pay with market levels.
  • Salary increases have mostly been one-off, in the 6% to 10% range.
