About the company: Fastmarkets is a leader in the Events Sponsorship & Exhibition sales sector.

About the position: As a Business Development Specialist, you will be essential in finding, nurturing, and turning new business opportunities into successes for our Events Sponsorship & Exhibition sales team. Your main tasks will involve generating and assessing leads, building strong relationships with potential clients, and collaborating closely with our sales and marketing teams to help grow our customer base.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Generation: Research potential customers and industries to generate high-quality leads through cold calls, email campaigns, and social media.
• Lead Qualification: Evaluate leads to determine if they are a good match for our products or services.
• Relationship Building: Connect with prospective customers to understand their needs and challenges. Build and maintain strong relationships, guiding them through the sales process.
• Team Collaboration: Partner with the sales team to turn qualified leads into sales opportunities. Coordinate meetings and product demos with potential clients.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a similar B2B role.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in the commodities industry or the ability to learn quickly.
• Goal-oriented and driven to achieve results.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Familiarity with CRM software (like Salesforce) and lead generation tools (such as ZoomInfo or Sales Navigator) is a plus.
